weaving , candle making, spinning, weaving, glass blowing,
pottery making, and blacksmithing. Visitors will be able to pick

Discover the Victorian splendor of the United States'
twentieth President's home, which was nicknamed "Lawnfield" by
journalists who camped out in the front yard during Garfield's
presidential campaign. Originally built around a nine-room
farmhouse, many rooms were added, and many improvements made,
making this house the beautiful example of Victorian
architecture that it is today. Among the additions were a
library that housed not only books, but also letters and
documents related to Garfield, beginning the tradition of
Presidential Libraries. The grounds around the house include
other structures, including a carriage house, the campaign
office, a pump house, a barn and a chicken coop. |
